Grand Cormoran (Phalacrocorax carbo)

Espèces semblables : Cormoran à aigrettes (Phalacrocorax auritus). On le différencie au C. à aigrettes par sa gorge blanche.

Description : Corps noir ; bec lourd, un peu long, un peu crochu et gris ; gorge blanche ; menton jaune.

                      Juvénile : brun ; bec jaune ; menton et ventre blancs.

Situation au Québec : rare sauf sur les côtes (entre autres en Gaspésie.)
